Teachings of the Ancient Hawai’ian People

Huna gives us a profoundly beautiful philosophy of life centered on love with the expansive vision of humankind, nature, and the divine as harmonious parts of a cosmic community. Huna is a way of life that gives us a set of practices that are simple and transformational. Historically, the Kahuna was the spiritual master who was the keeper of the Huna knowledge that was passed on within the priesthood by oral tradition.

In order to make use of Huna concepts and techniques with Reiki energy, it is necessary to understand the underlying process of communication between the three selves – the conscious, subconscious, and Superconscious or Higher Self. Huna teachings maintain that only the subconscious has a direct connection to the High Self. To use the Huna technique of prayer and make a request that gets through to our High Self, the conscious mind must do so through the subconscious. This is accomplished within the process of Hawaiian Reiki through chants, meditation, visualization and healing. Beginning with Kahuna Reiki, Aloha Reiki, then 'Uhane Nui Reiki.

Kahuna Reiki

Kahuna Reiki helps you to enrich your personal power by understanding the influence and role your conscious mind plays in achieving success, health, wealth and happiness in your life. Kahuna Reiki instills the knowledge of the Seven Laws of Attraction with the understanding that when they are practiced interdependently, they create harmony and balance in your life. Kahuna Reiki also teaches simple meditations utilizing conscious breathing techniques that help you access the power of blessing yourself and others with the Aloha Spirit.

Aloha Reiki

Aloha Reiki deepens your understanding of the Aloha Spirit and how a single word can fully express the philosophy of the native Hawai’ians and the warmth and sincerity of the Hawai’ian people. Aloha Reiki is heart-centered, purposeful and helps you to open your heart by releasing the fears, guilt, criticism and other emotional issues that often plague us. You also learn the value of honoring your sacred space and Higher Self and the peaceful sense of connectedness and unity within yourself. Only when you can be one with love of yourself can you be able to share that love of Aloha with others.
